Creative Strategy Director, Brand Planning
The first hire of the new Brand Planning team, I led creative production and strategy for BuzzFeed's biggest brand partnerships — incorporating a quickly-expanding ad product suite across digital, social, and experiential to unlock higher spends.
I led a new way of working in response to brand RFPs, leveraging audience insights, platform trends, and cross-team expertise to deliver BIG creative ideas in record time.
Across two years I was responsible for $22M+ in revenue — including multimillion-dollar deals with Bank of America, State Farm, and Olay — by crafting compelling brand stories that drove real-world action.

I was brought in to lead a restructured Creative department, newly integrated with the Sales team to serve BuzzFeed's top 100 accounts. With a growing need to demonstrate effectiveness, I was tasked with delivering more strategic, data-driven, and KPI-focussed Creative that was more closely aligned to client needs.
Managing a team of 15, I oversaw the production of BuzzFeed’s branded post & video content, providing guidance to bring the best out of each individual team member, while fostering a culture that embedded editorial and platform insights at the heart of the creative process.
I also led presale creative strategy across Finance, Retail/QSR, CPG, Pharma, and Entertainment verticals. This included close collaboration with Sales and Client services leaders to develop Account Development plans for priority clients.

As a lead for the UK Creative team, I managed a team of four responsible for pitching and executing branded content campaigns for BuzzFeed's European partners.
I worked alongside local leadership in Sales, Ops, Design, and Client Services to shape new products, delivered thought leadership in-market, and used analytics to revamp team workflow for more efficient collaboration.
